CULTURE COLLIDE // 2014

Culture Collide is a music festival all its own. Based upon the premise of bringing together acts from around the world (hence the name), it does just that… and it does not disappoint. For 3 days Echo Park’s venues are filled with musical talents far and wide, boasting lineups from Peru to Israel, The Netherlands to South Korea, as well as a healthy dose of US and LA-based bands. The shows are varied, keeping you satisfied with energetic sets at The Echo and haunting sets at The Echo Park United Methodist Church. With new bands and old favorites (Nina Persson, we love you), there’s something for everyone. And then some. Daytime BBQs and Happy Hour shows make it so you never have to leave and the proximity of venues allows you to stumble from one show to the next without ever needing four wheels. Pretty pretty brilliant.

Below are some of our favorite shows from the weekend, shot by Ethan DeLorenzo, Sera Lindsey and Katherine Aplin.

Tomorrow we bring you the best of Culture Collide street style in a dedicated Thanks for Trying post.
