The Work Magazine x De Soto Gallery x Sadie Wechsler
The Work Magazine is excited to partner up with the illustrious De Soto Gallery, Saturday the 27th for the photo exhibit of Sadie Wechsler.
Sadie creates dream like worlds with her photographs that hint at another dimension, another world, even another universe – but in this lifetime and space.
Sadie Wechsler (born in Seattle) received her BA from Bard College and her MFA in photography from the Yale School of Art. Her work has been exhibited across the United States, including at Aperture Gallery, New York; Johalla Projects, Chicago; and Green Hall, New Haven, Connecticut. Her work has been published in print in the 2013 edition of Yale’s Shannon, and online in I Wish Every Day Was Sunday, Miranda July’s Joanie 4 Jackie video chainletter project. In 2006, she was a recipient of Bard College’s Delavan Grant.
We are excited about De Soto Gallery.
Shelley de Soto, owner of Los Angeles gallery, DE SOTO GALLERY, has created a hub for contemporary artists working in photography and video. Her focus is to expose emerging, foreign, and mid-career artists to a broader audience – often representing artists’ first solo hows in the US. De Soto Gallery’s core lies in conceptions of reality, identity, memory, temporality, and possible futures.
