URS FISCHER // THE GEFFEN CONTEMPORARY

At The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, Swedish born artist Urs Fischer has undertaken an insane collaborative project that includes contributions from 1,500 people and 308 tons of clay. All were asked to join him in making figures and animals out of the clay to take over the entire space at the Geffen. The clay forms are interspersed with some of Fischer’s works, including massive wax sculptures that burn and melt like giant candles. The whole experience will transport you into a clay filled dream world.

The installation is open until August 19th. Take a summer afternoon and check it out— it’s totally worth it.
